Asala launches dairy training for InnovAgroWoMed project beneficiaries

The Palestinian Businesswomen's Association – Asala, the Palestinian partner in the InnovAgroWoMed  project launched  a training in Ramallah under the title "Dairy Products" for 33 participants with an average of 135 training hours

 

This training aims to provide participants with the necessary skills related to the dairy processing process in all its stages, as the participants will be able to produce products such as yellow, Italian and sweetened cheese,  labneh,  yogurt, ice cream, and accurate concentrations of the elements that go into the manufacture of these products. This training aims to provide participants with the necessary skills related to the dairy processing process in all its stages, as the participants will be able to produce products such as yellow, Italian and sweetened cheese,  labneh,  yogurt, ice cream, and accurate concentrations of the elements that go into the manufacture of these products.

 

 

The training, which will continue until the middle of February, includes theoretical and practical training on all aspects of  dairy products,  which ensures that participants are provided with all the information and skills that enable them to produce dairy products and their derivatives so that  they take into account the necessary specifications in all respects, whether related to the cleanliness, security and safety of products, machines and tools used, and the proper methods of milk processing.  In addition to  carrying out some field visits to Palestinian factories with the intention of manufacturing these products.

 

 

Merna Ziada, the Program Manager of ASALA, said that this training was based on  a needs assesment and a study prepared by the association that to detrmine  the training that requires women interested in the agri-food sector, whether in order to start their own projects or find job opportunities in this field.

 

It is noteworthy that Asala Association will continue to implement  this  training within the training program that aims to enhance labor participation and entrepreneurship among women in Palestine in the agrifood sector, by developing their skills  with the capabilities available in the agri-food sector, and will implement other trainings such as digital empowerment  and sustainability training in order to help participants establish and develop their businesses.
