The Palestinian Businesswomen's Association – Asala, the Palestinian partner  in the InnovAgroWoMed  project launched a training in Ramallah under the title "Digital Empowerment" with a rate of 108 training hours.

This training aims to develop the capabilities and skills of the participants in the use of modern technologies in marketing,  especially social media marketing,  with a focus on branding, design and advertising.

On the other hand, this training will focus on the importance of using technology in product packaging and processing, in addition to using the correct method of labeling and the use of modern technologies in determining quantities, checking product quality, units of measurement, sterilization, food spoilage and causes of rotting.

The training will also develop the skills of participants in the field of building marketing content for various digital marketing tools and dealing with websites, searching for platforms that enable them to develop their skills, crystallize their ideas into projects, good marketing of their products, dealing with social networking sites and the basics of design and mobile marketing.

For her part, Merna Ziada, the Program Manager of ASALA, said that this training came  based on the outputs reached by Asala Association from a need survey it conducted to find out  the skills that its beneficiaries need to develop their projects, and it found that approximately 75% of  them need courses and training to develop their capabilities in the field of digital marketing and the use of digital and technological tools, especially after the new trend centered on these skills, which everyone needs regardless of the nature of his work.

It  is noteworthy that Asala Association will continue to implement this  training within the  training program that aims to enhance labor participation and entrepreneurship among women in Palestine, by developing  their skills with the capabilities available in the  agri-food sector, and Asala Association will work  to complete the implementation of trainings in order to help the participants establish and develop their businesses.
