Asala’s projects have resulted significant increases in income for women, access to markets and financial independence. These successes have empowered an unprecedented number (more than 150,000 Palestinian women, with thousands more women and men benefiting indirectly) of women entrepreneurs to start and grow their businesses through capacity building, advocacy and lobbying and market access activities. Asala’s experience has underscored significant capacity and motivation among Palestinian women to break the cycle of poverty and build a better life through microenterprise development.

Asala has implemented about 1200 training programs in all Palestinian governates. The training courses were about financial literacy, advocacy and lobbying, Gender awareness and business management.

Asala targeted about 272 areas in the West Bank and Gaza Strip through the awareness sessions, round table meetings and the training courses.
