The Palestinian Businesswomen’s Association – ASALA will hold an advanced training on sustainable beekeeping on 7 and 8 September 2026, as part of the PLANBEE – Promoting Local Apiary Networks and Bee Entrepreneurial Excellence project, co-funded by the European Union under the Interreg NEXT MED Programme.

The two-day, 16-hour training will target beekeepers with previous experience in the sector and will focus on strengthening their practical knowledge and skills in sustainable beekeeping and apiary management.

The training will cover a range of topics related to advanced beekeeping, including sustainable management of apiaries, bee health and the management of diseases and pests, local bee breeds and genetic diversity, and the impact of climate change on beekeeping. Participants will also explore ways to improve the resilience of their apiaries, diversify production, and develop value-added bee products.

The training will combine technical sessions with practical exercises and discussions, allowing participants to share their experiences and discuss the challenges they face in their own apiaries.
